The World Council of Churches (WCC) Assembly Planning Committee (APC) is meeting in Cyprus from 9-16 January to develop central building blocks of the WCC 11th Assembly. Assembly committee plans prayer and music for Busan 2013

Common prayer and music drawn from churches around the world are recognized as highlights of World Council of Churches (WCC) assemblies when they convene every seven years. The Assembly Planning Committee will meet from 23 to 27 July at the Bossey Ecumenical Institute in Switzerland to plan the 10th Assembly, which will take place in Busan, Korea from 30 October to 8 November 2013.Â

Assembly Planning Committee looks to 2013

From 19 to 23 November 2010, the Assembly Planning Committee (APC) of the World Council of Churches held its first meeting to discuss the next assembly of the WCC. The gathering took place at the Orthodox Academy of Crete in Kolympari, Greece. The 10th Assembly, the highest governing body of the WCC, is scheduled to convene in Busan, South Korea in October 2013.
